Rough week

I've been a little out of touch and I apologize for that. This week was a bit rough. I have been very nauseous lately, but keeping it under control with the Zofran and Zantac. However Wednesday I took the Zofran in the morning as usual and then promptly threw up. There was some blood in my vomit, but when I talked to the phone nurse she didn't seem concerned. It happened again on Thursday & the nurse didn't seem concerned again when I called. Friday I was unable to keep anything down, but since when I had called it hadn't been 24 hours they told me I was supposed to wait. Didn't keep anything down all day on Friday and all morning today. I didn't dare go for fluids this morning, because I had a wedding today and I couldn't risk being late. So, Mike shot my wedding today while I stood (sat) around looking pathetic. Immediately after finishing the wedding Mike dropped me at the ER & I got two bags of fluids & some IV Zofran. I had a great nurse & doctor & I was out in less than 2 hours. I'm trying to eat something now, then I'm going to bed.

crumbs Neda :( Sounds like you need a regular fluid appointment or something.

What's with that nurse? I would've thought that 3 calls 3 days running might have resulted in some concern.

I was wondering how photo shoots would work if you weren't feeling well. Now I know.
Sorry that you've been having another rough pg! But WOW, I didn't realize you are almost halfway through it already!
Hang in there... you're in my prayers!

Sara - I'm not. I am actually only 9 weeks along. Something is wrong with my widget. I'm off to fix it now. Stupid technology. . .

Oh, I thought that seemed pretty far along, but I was too lazy to do the due date math in my head... so, I guess that's just a tease LOL... hope you start feeling better :S

You might try B6 and B12 shots, they helped me, I was like you couldn't keep anything down, not even water (it was lovely *rolls eyes*)...I tried crackers, lemon drops, popsycles, you name it, the only thing that helped was B6 and B12 shot..

Good luck.

Oh...have you tried those bracelets for motion sickness, I hear they help too.

I hope this doesn't last the whole pg. Hugs.

Oh, you poor, poor thing. I can't believe the nurse said those things to you, especially in light of your previous problems. I think nurses get hardened after awhile and forget that a lot of us actually know what we're talking about.
